Sid here! You may or may not know this, but I have three young kids – Keira, Charlotte and Tyler. My middle daughter, Charlotte, recorded a good=bye message that I usually play as the last thing before I leave the air each day. I’ve been blessed with three healthy children, and when I hear of another family’s struggle when one of them gets sick, it tears me apart.
A local family sent me an email pleading for help covering the cost for their grandson, who was just diagnosed with cancer.
Here’s a look at most of the email:
My two year old grandson was diagnosed with acute B cell lymphoblastic leukemia on October 22, 2021.
I was hoping (like long shot hoping) y’all could help me spread the word about his GOFUNDME. He spends most of his time at Children’s Medical Center in Dallas. He can’t be around other people a lot because he is immunocompromised from all of the chemotherapy he receives. All he wants is to do what other kids his age do.
I know I’m asking a lot, but if you could share his information his parents would be ever so grateful as they are struggling.
They have a newborn and a two year old with cancer. Life is very difficult for them.
This story hit me in the feels because I can’t imagine how I’d deal with my family hurting so badly.
If you’re able to donate, please check out the GoFundMe page by CLICKING RIGHT HERE – and give what you can. I’m sure every little bit helps. Hopefully we can all do our part to bring a little relief to a local family suffering through some rough news.
