Superstar Marla Gibbs (star of “The Jeffersons” and “227”) was speaking to a packed house at her ceremony to reveal her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame when she was overwhelmed by the heat and appeared to pass out.
Marla thanked her family for all their hard work on the ceremony when she closed her eyes and started swaying. Her son ran to Marla’s side and helped get her to safely sit down and recover.
Temps were around 88 during the ceremony, and quickly overwhelmed Marla, who turned 90 this year. Her agent, Gary Purdy, didn’t return multiple requests for comment on Marla’s situation, but her reps told Entertainment Weekly that she was “doing great” after the incident.
