Now that we’ve broken all kinds of record lows and suffered multiple daily power outages, officials are asking the metroplex to conserve as much electricity, water and natural gas as possible.
With the majority of homes running water through their faucets to keep pipes from bursting, that has resulted in water levels throughout the area falling rapidly.

Based on all of these local conditions many school districts have decided to close, including Dallas and Fort Worth ISDs. Both districts are closed through Thursday.
