You don’t have to like her (I do though), but you have to respect Miley Cyrus’ willingness to speak on her own setbacks with sobriety. Hannah Montana said herself “Nobody’s Perfect” and that was true.
Miley revealed she had been “sober sober” leading up to her vocal surgery, but decided that she wanted to protect her own well-being saying,
“Twenty-seven to me was a year that I really had to protect myself. That actually really made me want to get sober, because we’ve lost so many icons at 27.”
That’s a somber, but fair point. She ended up “falling off” doing the pandemic and she explained that she was less concerned with drinking in moderation than she was with her actions when she’s under the influence in general. Instead of beating herself up about drinking again, she asked herself ‘what happened?’
