Top Movies To See In Theaters This April

  1. Shazam!– 5th

How crazy would your childhood be if you were able to turn into a superhero by shouting one word?! Shazam is bringing a different look to the DC world with humor and lightness to the character. Critics are loving this new addition to the superhero genre, saying its filled with heart, charm, and fun!

2. Pet Sematary– 5th

I know many of us don’t remember the original 1989 film but I think its one of Stephen King’s terrifying and disturbing stories. Pet Sematary is about a family that moves into a house and discovers a burial ground near their home. Tragedy strikes the family in relation with the sematary that causes evil to escalade. After watching this horrifying adaptation, you might not look at your pets the same way again.

3. Hellboy– 12th

Reboots and remakes seem to be the thing for Hollywood lately. Somewhere along the lines the studios decided to bring back this unique character and rated R. David Harbour (Stranger Things) star as the new Hellboy but you can expect the same dark humor, music driven, action-packed film that you remembered and loved from the previous movies.

4. Little– 12th

Since Issa Rae introduced us to her hit show Insecure she’s been the talk of Hollywood. She’s starring alongside Regina Hall (Girls Trip) and 14-year-old Marsai Martin (Black-ish) who is also a producer on the film. Little is about a big time boss named Jordan Sanders (Hall) who wakes up one morning and is transformed back to her 13-year-old self (Martin). To keep her personal and professional life in line her assistant April (Rae) steps in to save the day. This movie may have a Tom Hanks ‘Big‘ feel to it but you will definitely laugh your a** off!!!

5. Avengers: Endgame– 26th

I’m a bit emotional right now just thinking about this movie but I couldn’t be more excited to see it! It’s been said that we can expect a 3 hour movie and I’m here for it all! This may be the last time we see Chris Evans as Captain America, Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man, and Chris Hemsworth as Thor but yes, there will be more MCU films. Expect the new Spider-Man: Far From Home film in July and Black Panther 2 and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 movies which both don’t have a set release date. This is a bitter sweet ending to one hell of a ride!

Other films to catch in theaters: The Best of Enemies (5th), Missing Link (12th), After (12th), and The Curse of La Llorona (19th)
