Fort Worth recently opened its very first furniture bank in the city, The Tarrant County Furniture Bank, where they’ll be giving out furniture and other household items for free. The bank will provide lightly-used furniture as well as mattresses to the homeless at zero cost whatsoever. Teresa Huskey, who is the founder and director of the furniture bank, decided to open the store after a run in with homelessness herself, and plans on making an incredible impact in her community.
