Top Movies To See In October

I know you’ll be busy with the State Fair and Haunted Houses but whenever you have that down time, grab your friends and head to the theaters to see these movies coming in October.

  1.  A Star Is Born – 5th

This remake is already getting Oscars buzz, starring the talented Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper. Its a story about love and never giving up on your dreams. Critics say you will leave the theater crying your eyes out! Don’t be the last person to see this magical and astounding film.

2. Venom – 5th

After you watch the trailer you know this is far from the Venom character in Spiderman 3! This dark and twisted thriller will probably give you more of a scare than expected. From Tom Hardy’s villain history (Bane in The Dark Knight Rises), expect a great performance as Eddie Brock/Venom.

3. The Hate U Give – 5th

This film about police brutality and social injustice is moving and powerful. With a strong performance from Amandla Stenberg, it opens the eyes to the different sides and situations that fatal police shootings can affect. The Hate U Give has an important message for all race and ages.

4. First Man – 12th

From Academy Award winning Director Damien Chazelle (La La Land) and Ryan Gosling, brings the story of Neil Armstrong and NASA’s struggles to get him to the moon. Some people are saying this is the most patriotic film in years. I’ll let you be the judge.

5. Halloween – 19th

This could possibly be the best Halloween movie! The long anticipated Michael Myers film is back with who they started the franchise with, Jaime Lee Curtis. I’m excited to see her back with this franchise and watch her kick ass on the big screen.

Other movies to look out for in theaters: Bad Times at the Royale (12th), Beautiful Boy (12th), and Goosebumps 2: Haunted Halloween (12th)
